Some of the skate lanes will be soft due to all the new snow and drifting from yesterday's high winds. Another day of getting trees off of the trails and another day of picking up sticks on the trails. Please help out to remove sticks. Temps are ideal for skiing. Downhill and tubing operations will resume Friday, January 16th from 4:00–9:00 PM for our Friday Night Specials:

Tomorrow weather forecast calls for high winds and heavy snow. Not conducive for grooming. Temperatures are dropping for the weekend. The weekend we should be in good shape for skiing. Cleared and combed early. Expect soft, slower conditions as it continues to settle in.

John reports it looks pretty good but there is some equipment tracks on the skate lanes. We all need to help pick up sticks on the ski trails. Please don't ski by them. FROM Vasa Trail Ski Conditions >> Don’t despair. Looks like there will be some debris on the trail, but the trail is intact. This is from the rock this afternoon. I stopped to check out the trail and only walked far enough on the edge for the photo. Very soft and wouldn’t recommend skiing until it cools down, but rest assured there will be skiing. #vasa #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan

Mother Nature hit the reset button overnight. We picked up about 4 inches of light, workable snow, and it’s grooming out beautifully this morning.
Groomer Dan is on the system early with the PB 100, packing the new snow and laying fresh corduroy on:
• Yellow
• Brown
• Blue
• Green
• Easy Return
Skate lanes are being packed and combed now, with classic tracks scheduled to be reset later this morning once the base firms up.
