FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/14, no grooming today. 40 mile an hour wind, Lake Affect Snow and near white out conditions. John plans to get out and groom when the wind settles down. This will probably happen late tonight or very early tomorrow. This system should provide for very good skiing Thursday on. I will keep you updated. 🚴 Fat Bike Trail Update:
Groomer Mark made a late-night pass—the trail is firm and fast. Prime riding conditions!
⛷️ Downhill & Tubing Update:
Downhill and tubing operations will resume Friday, January 16th from 4:00–9:00 PM for our Friday Night Specials:

• $25 Rentals
• $15 Tubing Sessions

Tomorrow weather forecast calls for high winds and heavy snow. Not conducive for grooming. Temperatures are dropping for the weekend. The weekend we should be in good shape for skiing. 🎿 Nordic Trail Update:
It’s 34° and raining in Grayling this morning. Groomer Dan was able to comb Red, Yellow, Brown, and Blue with the Tidd Tech early, but pulled off the trails once the rain began.
At this point, it’s best to stay off the Nordic trails to avoid unnecessary rutting. The good news—our base is holding up great, and this light rainfall should not cause any long-term issues. Fingers crossed the forecasted snow arrives tomorrow to freshen things right back up.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Looks like a comfortable day to be out on the trails. The whole system was groomed yesterday. A fresh groom is planned on the east side trails, and the green trail on the west side. Open 9 to 5 today. Yellow, Brown, Blue, Green, and M-93 were groomed with set tracks yesterday and are receiving fresh corduroy this morning—fantastic skiing conditions.
🔴 Red Trail:
Cleared and combed early. Expect soft, slower conditions as it continues to settle in.
