FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> It’s been a pleasure to post that all of our trails have 100% coverage pretty much all winter long. Temps are chilly again but moderating as the day goes on. East and west side trails get the fresh groom today. Pines loop was recently groomed and is in great shape as well. Open at 9. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful morning for the Forbush Freestyle. The grooming was top-tier, and the competition was even hotter!
🔥 Highlight of the day: A literal PHOTO FINISH in the 5k! Ava Higley and Walter Armstrong battled it out to the millisecond, both finishing at 17:26.
🏆 15k Overall Winners:
Male: Ryan Harris (45:17)
Female: Rebecca Davis (52:27)
Huge shoutout to everyone who tackled the Westside, Crybaby, Roller Coaster, and the Badlands today. You earned every bit of those famous chocolate chip cookies at the finish! 🍪 #forbush #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichiganBlue skies, fast trails, and fresh cookies! ☀️🎿

🏁 Nordic Trail Update:
The Meijer State Games – Hanson Hills Classic Ski Race will be held this morning.
⏰ Nordic trails will open to the public at 11:00 AM once the race concludes. Thanks for your patience and good luck to all racers!
🚴 Fat Bike Trail Update:
Trails are firm and riding great—perfect conditions to get out and explore.
⛷️ Downhill & Tubing Operations:
Open 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM for a full afternoon of winter fun.
🏁 H.H.R.T. Update:
Don’t forget—Hanson Hills Race Team athletes will be on the slopes this afternoon. Always fun to watch the speed and skill!

- Day of Registration and bib pick up begins at 0830 in the yurt.
- Please park as efficiently as possible. Volunteers will help direct you.
- Overflow parking is on the east side of South Roberts Rd.
- 15k race starts at 10am on Linda’s Link near the flags.
- 5k race starts at 10:05.
- Finish for both races is by the ski school.
- Race course will have classic tracks.
- Course is marked with signs, arrows and v-boards. If it is not groomed, it is not the race course. There will be volunteers guiding skiers at selected intersections.
- There will be trails available for non-racers. #forbush #SkiMichiganSome important information regarding tomorrow’s race.

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> 1/31, All trails are groomed and ready to go. After a week of snow storms we are going to have a reprieve from snow and cold today. Approximately 44 inches of settled snow in the woods and 18 Base inches of snow on the trails. The lodge will be open at 10 am. #valleyspur #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan
