FROM Swedetown Trails >> Wednesday ski anyone? On April 29!? We might be one of the last trail systems still grooming in the US. Notes from our head groomer: Good evening all! The snow is melting fast here on the trails, but we still have some for you to ski on! I took a snowmobile out this evening to groom Valley, Tiger, Cedar, Birch, and Ed's. Due to equipment issues I was only able to set fresh classic tracks on Valley and Ed's, but the others have had the skate lanes dragged. Ed's loop and Valley will likely retain a good base for the longest time this season, as usual. Please use caution on Birch, there are a couple bare spots, one on the long twisting downhill after Birch hill. Enjoy your ski everyone! #swedetown#crosscountry#snowphotos#SkiMichiganWednesday ski anyone? On April 29!? We might be one of the last trail systems still grooming in the US.

FROM Swedetown Trails >> Our groomer was out again Saturday night, 4/25/2026 grooming up the ski trails. Groomer report: Sunday skiers! This evening I took out the Husky and reset tracks and the skate lane on Pine Ridge, Valley, Tiger, Greenstone, Powderhouse, Ed's, Cedar, Birch and Tamarack. Spring conditions exist throughout all of the trails. There are bare spots forming and you will need to ski on grass or take off your skis. With the low of 38F tonight I am not sure the track will set up overnight but am hopeful that by tilling in some cold snow, it will help, and there will be good skiing early in the morning. Enjoy! #swedetown#crosscountry#snowphotos#SkiMichiganOur groomer was out again Saturday night, 4/25/2026 grooming up the ski trails. Groomer report:

FROM Vasa Trail Ski Conditions >> From the Groomers - Good morning Badgers, The crew xperienced a minor tech glitch in the woods this morning, and we apologize for the delayed report. You may have already discovered the fresh corduroy out on the Vasa! Jim P and Jim D started grooming at 5am and renovated the skate lane on the 5k, 10k, Special K, Riley’s, and 25k loops. There are still some deep footprints and skier divots in places, primarily on the 5k. The Nipple and Jack Pine were not groomed. Temperatures were around 25°F with a trace of new snow, which was not enough to set new classic tracks but may help smooth over any existing icy sections. Overall, the trails turned out well. Get out there while you can. Warmer temperatures are forecast for next week, and additional grooming may not be possible. We'll keep you posted. They also went towards Z trail to either do Z or Heart Atack. The 4 plus inches of snow on top of yesterday's crust helped to do this. It was a good ski with my metal edge skis from Southbay Outfitters. These are great skis and Ted has them on sale.
