FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> All trails groomed yesterday and in great shape including pines loop. Maybe a light touch up today on the east side. One last race on the schedule (SUNDAY) this year, the memorial classic for Mike Keenan. A limited number of candy bars are available for a minimum $10 donation which will go to the Sedona Wolf Sanctuary (you can also make a donation to them directly in Mike’s name). Snow Snake is known as the place to learn how to ski. Because of that, we set out before the season to help organize visits from local schools. Our goals were to eliminate barriers to entry into the sport, provide a great first experience, and help build the foundation of ski culture.
Today’s visit from the Clare Primary 3rd Grade was the culmination of months of preparation. Amazing experiences like this are only made possible by an entire community.
Big thank you to the people and organizations that helped make today’s visit happen: Clare Rotary, Clare Kiwanis, MIsnow, private donors, Clare Primary Schools, chaperones, teachers, family members, instructors, and more.
